"I had the privilege to work for months on the final formatting of the Chiru N.T. and sending it to press. Then on January 29, 2010, over 2000 people met in Northeast India for the dedication. During the ceremony Pastor Doug Crawford from West Cannon Baptist Church, Grand Rapids, presented the first copy of the Chiru New Testament to the chief translator, Peter Chiru. This is the first Bible in the Chiru language. Then we started to work on the Manipuri Bible which uses the Bengali characters plus a few specially designed characters. With long hours, praying for God’s help, and being persistent, we were able to finish the preliminary formatting by June 18.
