NEW IN THE LIBRARY
SURVIVING FINANCIAL MELTDOWN -
Financial Consultant, Ron Blue and CPA Jeremy White share a six-step plan that
will help you lead your family to economic health. This indispensable guide is
based on Christian wisdom and Biblical advice on how to personally manage the
economic uncertainty today. We must decide whether to throw up our arms in panic
or trust Him and adjust to changes around us. We know God is still in control! |
|
|
|
MARCH IS MISSIONS MONTH and it would be a
great blessing to our missionaries if we could spend some extra time
this week focusing on our "Europe & United Kingdom" missionaries who
are as follows:
Lance & Amy Auterson - France
Bob & Jan Marshall - Wales
Joe & Jenny Mifsud - Malta
Keith & Mariella Mills - Scotland
Please pray for their health and safety, for
their financial support, for their families and ministries. Ask the
Lord to reward them for their service and faithfulness.
Please take the time to read their support
letters on the boards in the hallway. |

YEAR 2009 OFFERING ENVELOPES |
A box of offering envelopes is available to everyone that would like one.
These are for your convenience so you can put your check in the envelope at home
to bring to church, and at the end of the year the church will give you a
statement of your contributions for tax purposes. Please take a box and register
your name with the number of the box on the sheet in
the lobby. Starting in JANUARY do not use the 2008 number as it might be
assigned to someone else. If you have envelopes that were not used in 2008,
please turn them back into the church to be used as pew envelopes.
Thanks. |

PRACTICE THE THREE MINUTE RULE |
|
The three minute rule is the "three minutes" at the end of the Worship
Service where you find someone you don’t know and greet them instead of
gathering with those you do know. As members of Oxbow Lake Baptist, these "three minutes" also are to be
used to greet our Guests before we move on to fellowship with our friends. |
|
Many times our "Guests" are attending church looking for answers to
problems or for Christian friends or for eternal direction. Therefore, we must
be sure not to miss the golden opportunity to share God’s love and welcome them
warmly. In welcoming our guests warmly, it will open the door for the right to
minister to them in God’s House. |
|
|
|
