Oxbow Lake Baptist Title

A. We believe in the verbal and plenary inspiration of the Old and New Testament, as the inerrant Word of God. (ll Peter 1:19-21, ll Timothy 3:16-17).

B. We believe in the Trinity of the Godhead; one God eternally existing in three equal persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (John 1:1, 2, 14; Matthew 3:16, 17; l John 4:13).

C. We believe in the deity (John 1:1-2), virgin birth, (Matthew 6:18-25), sinless life (ll Corinthians 5:21), substitutionary death (l Peter 2:24), bodily resurrection (John 20:5-9), and imminent, pre millennial coming of Christ (l Thessalonians 4:16-18).

D. We believe in the personality of the Holy Spirit by Whom believers are called (l Corinthians 12:3), regenerated (John 3:5), baptized into Christ (l Corinthians 12:13), indwelt (John 14:16; l Corinthians 2:9-12), sealed (Ephesians 4:30) and filled for service (Acts 1:8).

E. We believe in the direct creation of the universe and man by God apart from any process of evolution. Genesis 1, 2)

F. We believe in the fall, depravity and guilt of the race in Adam. (Genesis 3: Romans 5:10-19).

G. We believe in the eternal salvation of all born again believers in Christ whose blood was shed for the remission of sins. (Romans 8:35-39; John 10:27-28 l Peter 1:18-19; 1 John 1:7; Hebrews 9:22).

H. We believe in the unity of all believers in the church which is the body of Christ. (Ephesians 4).

I. We believe that the only Biblical mode of believer's baptism is that of immersion and that it is to be administered in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The ordinance of baptism is for believers only. (Matthew 3:16-17; Acts 3:36-39; Matthew 28:19-20; Romans 6;3-5).

J. We believe in the local church as a company of baptized believers, independent and self-governing, which should fellowship with other churches of like faith and order. The ordinance of baptism is a prerequisite for church membership. (Acts 2:41-47).

K. We believe in the obedience to the Biblical command to separate entirely from worldliness and ecclesial apostasy. (ll Corinthians 6:14-17; Romans 12; 1-2, Galatians 1:6-9).

L. We believe in the personal existence of angels, demons, and Satan. (Hebrews 21:4-14; Ephesians 2:2; 6:11-17).

M. We believe in the bodily resurrection, immortality, and rapture of all believers at Christ's coming. (l Corinthians 15;d l Thessalonians 4:13-128).

N. We believe in the bodily resurrection and judgment of unbelievers after the millennial reign of Christ. (Acts 24:15; Revelation 20:12-21:8).

O. We believe in the eternal life and blessedness of all believers and the external existence and punishment of all unbelievers. (Matthew 25:46; Revelation 20:12-21:8).
